So I have set the resign weight.

You are now free to resign your own players.

Max length is 6 years.

NTC are allowed, Bonuses are not.

Any contract with a bonus will be rejected.

All resigns are done through the portal.

These new salaries are ridiculously high. We must be having a $80M+ salary cap huh?

As per the agent's asking price, it will cost me ~$91M to sign my pro roster of 20 players. Ouch.

That is my point, but we will have to get greedy with them. I have signed a few at 80% already but have also had 2-3 rejections, lol.

Looks like FA may have some talent in the pool next year. It makes it interesting though.

Like everything its the good with the bad.

If salaries weight is lower, star players will make 5 mil a season.

The way its set now, star players make less than their real-life counterparts.

In a effort to make lives easier on gm's i'm changed the impact some of the contract offer/choices you can make.

I'm not 100% what stats affect the contract total the most, but you are definitely able to ice a strong team with the current resign values, just tough choices have to be made.

Am I going to pay Tuuka Rasks demands of 7m+ not likely, but i will jump at the chance to pay my young future stars under 3m or just over 3m, if it means i pay they that for 6 seasons.

Just need to decide who's worth their asking price and who is potentially replaceable in UFA

Although everyone is fighting the same problems with regards to re-signing players we have a few issues that will cause the cap to a problem.

1. Come next year, we will have no players on year 2 or year 3 of maximum rookie deals with a cap of $1,000,000. Personally, I have 9 players that should fall into that category but to re-sign them at the respective agent's asking price will cost me ~ $2,350,000/player. That's an additional $13,000,000 in spend.

2. We have more high skill players per team since we only have 20 teams. Not sure how the finances within STHS work to accommodate this but it will also skew salaries higher.

3. Every AHL eligible/skill level player I have has demanded in excess of $2M per season. That makes the $4,000,000 AHL cap impossible to reach given especially in light of points 1 and 2.

Regardless, it's something we all have to struggle with and good luck to all as we need to be cheap on offers without hopefully losing a quality player or two.

Meh, it looks like a great FA market next yr. I know if a few teams tht will have everyone they want signed done up and good to go no problem. Some teams yes will have issues, and I do feel sorry for them. Looks like I may even loose a major contributor if I can't get the bum to sign but alas such is life. I will low ball every time and not give in to these pirate agents lol.

Good luck to all

I was only given 2 chances to sign Varlamov - it says he has been on 2 teams this year. I need a third chance to try and resign him like all my other players.

I've seen that before. Lowball a player and they just break off negotiations and ask for a trade, usually after 2nd offer. It's has happened to me in other leagues. Realistic element that I'm sure happens In reality. It doesn't happen often but it happens. I still try to get discounted salaries:)
